Enjoy an eventful day that takes you into the heart of the Dominican Republic, where you will discover authentic life far away from the tourist coastline.

Our journey begins in a small inland village, where we visit an educational support project. Here, Dominican and Haitian children are cared for together – a moving insight into daily life and the efforts to promote education and social support. You will also learn how the villagers organize their water supply – an issue of great importance in this region.

We then continue into nature to the idyllic Salto Socoa waterfall. Its clear waters invite you to take a refreshing swim, and the lush vegetation creates an impressive natural setting. At a small restaurant right by the waterfall, you will enjoy a typical Dominican lunch – freshly prepared with rice, chicken, salad and more.

To round off the day, you will immerse yourself in lively village life: we visit a traditional bathing area that serves as a popular meeting point for many locals. Music, laughter and a cheerful atmosphere create an authentic scene that offers a true impression of the joyful, life-affirming spirit of the Dominican people.
