A mysterious world with offshore islands and fascinating stalactite caves.
From the port of Santa Bárbara de Samaná, the motor catamaran or speedboat departs into the Bay of Samaná. After about 30 minutes, you will already spot Los Haitises National Park with its offshore islands.
The lush vegetation of this protected ecosystem is home to numerous bird and fish species.
Bird islands with colonies of pelicans, herons, vultures, and frigatebirds welcome us loudly in the national park.
During the boat tour, you will stop at various islands to take a walk through the caves where pirates once hid their treasures and where indigenous people once lived.
Around midday, you will cross the Bay of Samaná again and enjoy your lunch on Cayo Levantado, the small island in the bay.
On the “Bacardi Island,” you will also have plenty of time to relax and swim.
