The National Park del Este near Bayahibe is known for the islands of Saona and Catalina, but the park itself is virtually unexplored.
This excursion includes an easy hike through the jungle with swimming in a grotto, a river cruise through the gorge of the Chavon River, and a guided visit to our jungle ranch Yuca Yena, where you will also be served a typical Dominican lunch.
After lunch, there will be a guided tour explaining all the local products that grow naturally in the Dominican jungle. You can participate in a beautiful canoe trip on a tributary of the Chavon River.
At the end of the day, take a walk through Bayahibe to see some of the highlights and have the opportunity to buy rum, coffee and local jewelry.
