Escape and learn about the authentic culture of the Dominican people. Accompanied by our guide, who will share his extensive knowledge of our culture, we will go to the rural heart of the Dominican Republic.
We will visit the artisan cheese dairy ¨Geo¨, where we will learn about the entire process of cheese making.
On the way, we will stop in the community of “Las Lajas” to visit a cacao farm and a small coffee plantation, where clients will learn about the entire process of making and processing artisanal Creole chocolate, and in addition to tasting the delicious artisanal chocolate, they will also be able to taste the typical cacao and wine made from tropical fruits.
We will then visit “Saballo”, a hidden community where we will visit a factory that is over 100 years old and learn about the process of making the typical sugar cane molasses chocolates.
In “La Piragua” we will visit the typical house of an 82 year old artisan where we will learn how guano baskets, mats and banana leaves – materials provided by nature – are made.
